Alrigty. LOL. Now I know its not good to show works older than 3 years old. Especially if your trying to get job. But some pieces are so good that you just gotta have it in there. So I guess I'll be a rouge for a minute. LOL.

Evryone who plays games or RPG's should know this guy. Tidus from the FF X. Now I first drew this guy in pencil an then inked him out. But I wanted to color it. So I decided to paint it instead of using digital colors. Here are the steps.

1. Take the original drawing and traced it onto a piece of typing paper.

2. Next take the image and turn it over so that the image is facing your drawing surface. Take your pencil and rub it all over the back of the paper. Occasionally turn the picture over to see if you covered it enough on the back. Basically what ur doing here is making carbon paper using typing paper.

3. Take your picture and lay it on the board or canvas your using with the image facing you. Tape it down and retrace the image. This should transfer it to your board nicely if you laid down enough pencil on the back. (Note: When u lay down the paper tape it down so u wont slide it across your surface. If that happens you'll get pencil haze all over you surface. And that can be a pain to clean up later.)

4. Once done you should have a nice but very light copy of you image on your painting surface. Take the drawing and darken your line work. Now u have a nice pencil drawing to paint. Then just paint it. Hahaha

Thats it. Thats how I do it. I could have easily used carbon paper. But using that gives you problems since the carbon paper is basically ink. So trying to redraw over it to fix details or whatever will be a pain. Plus the paint dosent work well with that stuff. Well i hope u guys enjoy it!

Medium: Pencil, Liquitex acrylic paint
Surface: Strathmore Bristol 500
